Speedfigs for #Lingfield #Kempton & #Wolves + blog 11th Feb
It’s the busiest day that I can remember for a long time on the AW. It’s also a Saturday, which means a day to tread carefully and play as late as possible.
I’m only keen on two at Lingfield. The first is last week’s winner, Cut The Cackle who isn’t that well drawn but is rated to win again off a workable mark. He defied the coffin box (stall 1) last week so is clearly in great shape. The second is my 2nd rated runner in the 3.20 Nubar Boy (NAP) who was unlucky not to beat Diamond Vine a few weeks ago over C&D when coming hard and late.
Over at Kempton Lastkingofscotland is in fine fettle and the trainer looks to have spotted a good race for him.
Songbird Blues has been running well and should go close in a tricky affair. Den’s Gift went well last time out and will make a bold bid from the front. He could be an ideal in-running back-to-lay.
In the staying race Marcus Antonius has had a few unsuccessful spins over hurdles without success but is very capable and was unlucky to get beaten by a shd when last seen on the polytrack over 2m at Lingfield last October. There is a bit of money around for him this morning so he looks a good e/w bet at 14/1.
In the last race the aptly named Snow Ridge is 7pts clear and well drawn, so should be in with a good shout. Ralph Beckett has also fitted blinkers for the first time which could bring about some improvement.
At Wolves in the evening Kames Park is the main horse of note and is well clear on the ratings.
