#Speedfigs + Blog for #Lingfield & #Wolves 24th Jan

January 24, 2014

Swivel made it 4 winning NAP’s in a row yesterday. It’s good to be in-form and more importantly to see the top rated runners performing well.

There are a few tricky races to deal with today. Kuanyao looks set for another big run back in handicap company and comes in to the race in red-hot form. He’s been consistantly post high speedfigs all season and I hope he gains another victory under Louis Steward.

Roys Legacy (NAP) is short enough at around 6/4 but looks like a stand-out to me in this race and therefore rates my best chance of a winner today. He’s only up 2lb for a 3/4L second to a progressive Roger Charlton runner and can gain compensation this afternoon.

George Guru is only 1lb above his last winning handicap mark and therefore is a danger to all in this competitive race over 7f. He hasn’t been dealt the best of draws but hopefully, with Adam Kirby on board, this hold-up performer can find sufficient room for a late challange. If he doesn’t win today then rest assured that his turn won’t be far away.

At Wolves this evening, Shawkantango is on a hat-trick bid and looks in with a decent shout. Blackthorn Stick should be watched carefully in the market as any support would indicate that a huge run is on the cards.
