#Speedfigs + Blog for #Lingfield 22nd March
It’s Derby day at Lingfield with plenty of top-class supporting races on the card too.
Addictive Dream (NAP) bolted up over C&D last time and with a new rating of 105 to contend with, has little choice but to step up in grade. He is well drawn to attack from the front and should make a bold bid to make all.
Wee Jean is an interesting runner at a big price in the Spring Cup. Mick Channon considered his filly good enough to run in the G3 Prestige Stakes at Glorious Goodwood last summer. She ran well then and has since gone close twice on the polytrack this winter in decent class races. She is the outsider today but is definitely overpriced at 33/1.
In the main event Grandeur is the best horse, ridden by the best jockey but with the worse draw! If Ryan Moore gets a gap and some luck in running he will win. The price is currently short enough, however.
In the final race I hope Scottish Star can do us another favor with a follow up to last months success.
